The Path I Walk, The Cup I Hold

Take my hand, come walk with me,
until we reach the edge of the sea.
Stand and gaze as I paint the sky,
just to keep you by my side.

Feel the breeze blowing on your face,
these are the whispers of my embrace.
I am the silence and the waves that roar
just say the word and all I am is yours.

Free the sand between your toes,
from the smallest grain to the largest stone,
for the weight misplaced that holds you down
is the grace I gave them to lift you off the ground.

Dare to leap and catch my heart.
You are the greatest of my acts of art.
You are my flame where there is no spark.
You are my candles in the dark.

For the moonlight’s rays and the twinkle star,
were both made to show you that I'm not far.
Beauty displayed in the hope you'd stay,
you make me smile when I hear you say:

"It's the life I drink, and the cup I hold.
The blood of Christ can only quench my soul.
A single drop from his veins can save
an ocean of dead men in their graves.

Let it be known...
It's the path I walk and I'll walk alone.
The heart of God will always be my home.
Every step: a thorn in my side...
yet every breath is my eternal life."
